This Privacy Policy ("Privacy Policy") is designed to help you understand how Chic Office Decor ( "Chic Office Decor", "we" or "us" ) collects and processes the information that you share when you use our website (the "Site").

Before submitting information to the Site, please review this Privacy Policy carefully. By using or accessing the Site, you accept the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you prefer that we not collect and process information about you, please do not provide it to us and do not access the Site.

We do not knowingly collect any Personal Information from children under 13. Where any such information is inadvertently collected, we will delete the information as soon as possible. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect the information that you share with us, including:

  • Personal Information: "Personal Information" is information that can personally identify you, such as your name, email address and telephone number. We maintain one or more databases to store your Personal Information and may retain it as reasonably required to serve you and operate the Site. Personal Information that we collect depends on how you use the Site. Providing your Personal Information to us is your choice. If you choose not to provide us with certain Personal Information, you may not be able to take advantage of certain features of the Site; and
  • General Information: When you visit the Site, we may collect various categories of general non-personal information ("General Information"). General Information includes browser information, operating system information, device information, TCP-IP address and the date, time, length of stay and specific pages accessed during your visits to the Site.

 

WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?

When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.
When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.
Email marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates.

How do I withdraw my consent?

SHOPIFY

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and Sites to you.
Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

Payment:
If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its Site providers.

THIRD-PARTY SITES

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the Sites they provide to us.
However, certain third-party Site providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.
For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.
In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located a different jurisdiction than either you or us. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the Sites of a third-party Site provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that Site provider or its facilities are located.
As an example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.
Once you leave our store’s website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Site.

SECURITY

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.
If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

ONLINE IDENTIFICATION TOOLS

Like many website providers, we use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and provide a better web experience. Your IP address is used to help identify you and your shopping cart and gather General Information.

We use web beacons (a.k.a. clear GIFs, web bugs or pixel tags) to personalize your experience of the Site and to generate information about Site traffic and trends. Web beacons collect General Information, such as the type of browser that you use and your IP address. Web beacons may be used alone or in conjunction with cookies; when web beacons are used with cookies, they may link General Information to Personal Information. Web beacons usually are not visible to you.

Third-party advertising management partners may help us display tailored content to our customers’ interests and serve interest-based advertising on our behalf. Chic Office Decor and our advertising management partners may use cookies, web beacons and other tools to collect General Information about your activities on the Site, to deliver advertising on the Site or elsewhere on the Internet based upon your interests that may be more relevant to you and to measure effectiveness of our marketing efforts and the Site.

(An "opt-out cookie" will be placed on your computer indicating that you do not want to receive interest-based advertisements. If you delete cookies on your computer, you will need to opt-out again.) We’ve listed them here so that you can choose if you want to opt-out of cookies or not.

Opting out of receiving interest-based advertisements through the links above does not mean you will no longer see digital advertisements from Chic Office Decor; rather, opting out means that most of the digital advertisements that you do see will not be based on your particular interests. In addition, certain data collection tools on the Site (including cookies) still may collect information about your use of the Site, such as for analytics and fraud prevention.

HOW WE RESPOND TO DO NOT TRACK SIGNALS

Some web browsers (including Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome) incorporate a "Do Not Track" ("DNT") or similar feature that signals to websites that a user does not want to have his or her online activity and behavior tracked. If a website that responds to a particular DNT signal receives the DNT signal, the browser can block that website from collecting certain information about the browser's user. THIRD PARTY FEATURES

The Site also may include an activity feed, social media buttons and widgets, such as the Facebook "Like" button or the "Share This" button. USE OF SITE VIA MOBILE DEVICE

If you use the Site through your mobile device, we may collect your geo-location information to assist us in fulfilling your order. We will not share this information with third parties and will only use this information for the sole purpose of fulfilling your order. You may at any time prevent the Site from using your location by turning this option off at the device level.

When you use the Site through your mobile device, we also collect device type and UUID, a unique identifier generated within the App, and store this information in log files. We use this information to provide you with the most up to date application and features, or to advertise or promote products or Sites to you that are applicable to your device type.

THIRD-PARTY LINKS

We may provide links to third-party websites that we do not own or control. We are not responsible for the information collection practices of any website that we do not own or control. We encourage you to review and understand the privacy practices of third-party websites before providing any information to or through them.

HOW YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION IS USED, PROCESSED AND DISCLOSED

THIRD PARTY SITE PROVIDERS

Chic Office Decor employs other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf, such as fulfilling orders, delivering packages, sending postal mail and e-mail, serving ads on our behalf, providing search results and links, and processing credit card payments. These third-party Site providers have access to Personal Information needed to perform their functions but may not use it for any other purpose.

ACQUISITION OF CHIC OFFICE DECOR

Information about customers is considered an asset of Chic Office Decor and, as such, may be transferred to another company as part of a merger or acquisition.

To provide you with information about products and Sites that may be useful to you, we may partner with select reputable organizations whose privacy policies we believe are consistent with ours.
